Hello, my name is Darcy Karouzos.  I am a Midwesterner through and through.  I grew up in a small town by Rockford, Illinois and attended a university just outside of Chicago in Evanston, Illinois for elementary education.  My family is small, only one pre-teen daughter, Tia,  and my husband, TB, and we reside outside of Chicago.   They are the loves of my life.  We also have an energetic Goldendoodle, named Carmel. 

     While I was in college many of my friends and professors told me I should try voice overs because my voice is so unique and child-like.    I had never heard of it before.so I researched it and found an opportunity to be the voice for a doll reading the love chapter in Corinthians.  I was so disappointed to learn the project was canceled and never went through. 

     When I was searching for a full time teaching job, I was a substitute teacher for a couple of years.  Once I was a music substitute and I convinced some third graders I was the upbeat  voice for the Flintstones song, which I taught to them.                 Since I am a teacher, I also love to use my voice for different characters when I read diverse and entertaining children's’ books.  Now I am a kindergarten through second grade English teacher for children who speak other languages. So I know how to use the words and the emotions to convey messages and information effectively.  

     I have a positive attitude and upbeat voice also.  Many of my friends say I have a great sense of humor too.  I love to look at the bright side of things and look for ways to make people happy.   Perhaps you could take a chance on my upbeat, playful voice to make you happy too! 

I act on and off screen. I am also available for voice over acting and hosting.
